Another year, another 12:01 kiss, another toast, another morning coffee...so what is going to make 2012 different from every other year? I think that's what we have to ask ourselves this year. Today, 2012 is our dip recipe. What ingredients do we need? How can this dip top all others? What is the recipe for another fabulous year??
2011 was a fabulous year with a lot of great ingredients:
-Became public about my affare (with food) and started a blog
-Entered the world of Hot Yoga
-Took my first ever two week vacation (man, I love the beach!)
-Ran a 5K, 10K and a HALF marathon
-My hubs started his own business
-Saw Brittney Spears in concert
-Started admitting things I shouldn't (See above)
-Toured the Biltmore at Christmas
-Traveled to Puerto Rico
-Sang Karaoke (sort of, I was back-up) at Cat's Meow in New Orleans
-Celebrated 1 year of marriage
-Attended service in a Mega Church
-Wore skinny jeans (aka. Jeggings)
The list could go on but 2011 was a year of firsts, a year of onlys (Brittney Spears concert), so I think in 2012 I want to take a those ingredients to a good year and spice them up a bit. How can I take them to the next level?
New Beginnings 2012: Love, Adventure, Family. I think I will start with these:
-Write daily in a journal, capturing the things I appreciate, lessons learned and/or memorable moments. I want to take more time to reflect.
-Travel to 5 new cities with my husband - there are so many places that we have yet to discover and the hubs loves an adventure
-Reach 100 followers on my blog (wink, wink, nudge,nudge...definitely will need your help with that!)
-Attend my 100th Hot Yoga Class
-Spend more time with family (Underlying goal: convince my brother to move to NC)
-Buy a house
This recipe will be evolving for the next 364 days, so I will let you know throughout the year how it's going and next year at this time I will know of it turns out, so stick around!
