This blog originally started as an homage to my love for food, a clever play on words (Affare, get it?), to capture Internet goers attention and foster my inner desire to be a Food Network star.  Well, that was back when I had a gobs of free time to devote to cooking, studying about food and practicing my craft on my more-than-willing husband Chuck.  Shockingly, there is more to life than perfect fare.

What is perfect anyway?  

I learned a few years ago that although a recipe may require certain ingredients, some tend to get left out for reasons beyond your control and that perfect meal you wanted gives perfect a totally new meaning.

May 20, 2013 - the birth of my daughter Emma Cate.  She changed our lives and has given new meaning to my "Perfect Affare."  After three long years, I have decided that it is time to be honest and share.  To expose our story and our journey (not so perfect) with the intent to reach those that have,had or may be experiencing something similar to us.  The transformation of my blog, allows me to do that.
